Manufacturing & Erection

Since 1974, SMT has been manufacturing and supplying piping networks and structural elements in composite material to the energy, oil and chemical, offshore, district heating and marine industries, as well as to project managers, design offices, local authorities and industrial companies, throughout France.

We are NOV distributor for Bondstrand® fibreglass‑reinforced epoxy pipes and fittings and STRONGWELL distributor for FRP gratings, guardrails and ladders. We also have our own Epocal® trademark for factory‑pre‑insulated pipes for heating and air‑conditioning networks.
We set up a design department and an erection service skilled in GRE (glass reinforced Epoxy resin) piping to offer to our customers turnkey solutions.

SMT has no less than 25 employees and more than 950 erection projects in France that enabled our customers to produce plentiful energy safely while minimizing its environmental impact.

Advantages of composite
and carbon footprint

Composite exceeds expectations in terms of weight savings and corrosion resistance. It also offers very low pressure losses, simplified expansion processing, better storage, less heat loss and an erection that is almost twice as fast as steel pipes.

It is also, above all, the ecological choice with a better carbon footprint due to the fact that 80% less energy is needed to manufacture our pipes, the ease of flow reduces the required pumping energy by half, and the carbon sink effect.

GRE piping (Glass Reinforced Epoxy) meets the challenge of environmental performance compared to Carbon Steel (CS) pipe owe to its low energy requirements for manufacturing and its better operating efficiency. Facing the issue of "Global Warming", use of GRE pipe, compared to AC one, emits much less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and thus becomes an eco‑responsible choice!

The safety of our systems. We only use robust and environmentally friendly materials. Distributor of Bondstrand® pipes and fittings made of glass reinforced epoxy resin, Epocal^® and Epobat^® trademarks, fire resistance approvals for materials that can be erected even in residential buildings.
Strong guarantees. We don’t subcontract. Design, manufacturing and erection are carried out by our own teams. Our heating networks are covered by a ten‑year guarantee and we have French CSTB technical approval n° 14.1/15-2079_v1.
Unprecedented level of responsiveness in our market. For many years, our stock has been faced with shortages. We are set up in such a way to keep continuously a large stock of pipes to guarantee quick supply and to avoid any delay on site.
